An early morning fire was contained to the garage of a Ruhenstroth home on Thursday.

A fire in an attached garage 2:08 a.m. Thursday brought East Fork firefighters to 709 Pinto Circle in Ruhenstroth.
They arrived to find a single-story single-family dwelling with an attached garage fire, according to East Fork Fire Chief Alan Ernst.
“Crews did an excellent job and were able to contain the fire to the garage with no damage to the interior of the house other than smoke,” Ernst said.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
“We received automatic aid from Tahoe Douglas Fire and mutual aid from Carson City,” Ernst said. “No injuries were reported at this time.”
