While the driver and passenger of a Honda Accord that pulled out from Muller Lane onto 395 into the path of a Toyota Highlander lunchtime Easter Sunday were transported for treatment, the Nevada Highway Patrol reports they had nonlife threatening injuries.
I don’t even like turning right onto 395 from Muller Lane since the jog and all the guardrails in the line of sight make it hard to see what’s coming. Turning left onto 395 from there is always fraught.
Douglas County’s jobless numbers dropped .4 percent in March from 5 percent in February. The state’s seasonally adjusted rate is running 5.7 percent which is pretty high.
We’re going to see a little bit of a cooldown over the next few days, with the high today and Thursday forecast to hit 69 degrees, before a cold front starting Friday.
By Saturday the forecast calls for a snow level of 4,800 feet in the morning rising to 5,500 feet in the afternoon. There isn’t a hard freeze through there, but the low is forecast to hit 31 degrees early Sunday morning.
I got a new laptop this morning, so that's why I'm running late today. I can actually read the keys on this one, so we'll see if that helps.
