Genoa, Nev. — One person was transported for treatment from a 6:15 a.m. collision at Highway 395 and Johnson Lane between a work truck and a sedan. I expect that will be cleared shortly, but the highway may be a little more congested than usual for an hour or so.
Parks & Recreation advisors are scheduled to hear presentations on the Fairgrounds feasibility study and the budget 6 p.m. today at the Douglas County Community & Senior Center on Waterloo Lane.
A $353,379 professional services contract with Eide Bailly goes before the Douglas County Audit Committee 10 a.m. today at the Douglas County Courthouse. The committee is also set to review Minden’s trash expense review.
There was a 2.45 magnitude earthquake just south of Grovers Hot Springs in Alpine County around 4 a.m. today. Three folks reported feeling it, one of whom was 150 miles away, so that might not be entirely accurate.
We might see a little rain today with a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. Otherwise, the forecast calls for partly sunny skies and a high temperature of 74 degrees and the wind calm picking up out of the west around 5 mph this afternoon.
