Date set for 5th Kiwanis Spring Into Wine tasting

The Kiwanis Club of Carson Valley recently made a donation to the Kids Fishing Derby which will be held at Lampe Park June 7-8.  The Derby is free to all registered kids ages 3-12. The Kiwanis Club contributes funds to various Douglas County, child oriented organizations, with proceeds from the Club’s various fund raising event.

The fifth annual Kiwanis Club of Carson Valley’s Spring Into Wine event is May 17 at Genoa Lakes Golf-Supper Club.

An exclusive VIP premium wine and spirits tasting will be available from 4:30-5:30 p.m. The main event hours are 5:30-8 p.m. Live classical music, gourmet appetizers and desserts will accompany the fine wine and spirit tasting.

This event is typically a “sell-out” and ticket sales are limited.

The event will again feature a silent auction and the mystery “Wine in a Bag” raffle.

This year’s grand silent auction item is a Galapagos Islands private yacht tour for two. Other items include wine tasting packages, collector library wines, local air flights, golf packages, concert tickets, gift baskets and much more.

As in the past four events the gracious and generous support of Raley’s Gardnerville. Breakthru Beverage NV, Great Basin Brewery, ABE Printing and Sierra Chef help make this event possible.

The Kiwanis Club of Carson Valley conducts multiple fundraisers annually that support scholarships for Douglas County youth and other worthy initiatives that benefit the wellbeing of local children and families.
