Months after he was identified as a suspect in the August 2023 shooting death of Paul Adam Mulkey, Larry Allen Arnold, is in Douglas County custody.
Sheriff Dan Coverley said Arnold was picked up from Washoe County on Friday morning after being extradited from North Dakota with the help of U.S. Marshals.
Arnold was scheduled to appear in East Fork Justice Court on Friday afternoon.
He joins Melissa Nicole Malmsteadt, 42, in custody. The two are charged with murder with a deadly weapon and conspiracy.
Investigators filed a 111-page report detailing their work to identify Malmsteadt and Arnold in the shooting that occurred Aug. 12-13.
Malmstedt, and Arnold, 48, are accused of luring Muley to an area at the top of Stephanie Way, where he was found on Aug. 14, 2023, by a passerby.
Malmsteadt was arrested Dec. 30, 2024, at her Johnson Lane home.
Douglas County is prosecuting three homicides and one vehicular homicide.
Johnson Lane resident Gregory Raymond Ward, 63, is accused of shooting and killing Kathy Jean Weiland, 63, on Dec. 15, 2024, at the home they shared. Ward waived his preliminary hearing in East Fork on April 4.
Ward suffered serious injuries when he apparently shot himself.
In Nevada, murder is the only crime there is no requirement that bail be set.
During a Jan. 24 hearing, East Fork Justice of the Peace Laurie Trotter ruled Ward should be held without bail.
Carson City resident Gary Allen Dillishaw, 25, has been in Douglas County custody since he was arrested in Mineral County on Feb. 14.
He is scheduled to return to court on April 16.
Reno resident Stephen Michael Pawlowski is scheduled to return to court on May 27 on a vehicular homicide charge in connection with a March 21 fatal collision in Glenbrook Canyon at Lake Tahoe.
