A Gardnerville Ranchos man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after he allegedly fled deputies through Dresslerville.
Travis Paul Atchison, 34, failed to appear in East Fork Justice Court for a 2 p.m. alternative sentencing violation hearing.
Deputies arrested him near Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School after reportedly attempting to pull him over on Highway 395 near Jake’s Hill. The pursuit crossed the Washoe bridge and then up through Dresslerville at more than 50 mph, according to deputies, who slowed down through the community.
Atchison is being held on $23,633 bail, according to jail records on charges of eluding, possession of a controlled substance, failure to yield, reckless driving, obstructing, and having an open container.
Atchison was in violation of his suspended sentence and on Friday East Fork Justice of the Peace Pro Tem ordered him to appear on Aug. 14.
