Four teachers were recognized for their work at Tuesday’s Douglas County School Board meeting.
Carly Smyth, an English teacher at the Carson Valley Middle School, was recognized as the finalist for the personalized learning in a middle school classroom.
Cris Jezek is an EPIC instructional coach currently at Jacks Valley Elementary school. She was recognized as the Change Agent Instructional Coach Finalist.
Kelly McCue is a kindergarten teacher at Meneley Elementary School and was the finalist for personalized learning in an elementary school classroom.
Carson Valley Middle School social studies teacher Amanda Laca was awarded National Middle School Teacher of the Year.
