Pallets of flooring await installation inside the Minden Branch of the Douglas County Public Library.

The Minden branch of the Douglas County Public Library will be installing new flooring at the end of this month.

That’s going to require that the library close from March 25 through April 1.

Several library programs are also going to be canceled starting March 20, including Storytime, Baby Lapsit Storytime, READing Paws, Pokemon Club, Virtual Reality Lab, Dungeons and Dragons Club, Mythos Society, Knit & Crochet, and our 3D Pen program.

The Bookmobile will not be making any scheduled stops during the closure.

“We encourage everyone to check out extra books and keep items a little longer,” librarians said. “We appreciate your patience and hope to finish this project quickly. We can’t wait for everyone to see the library once we’ve reopened.”

While the Minden library is closed, take advantage of its digital resources or visit the Zephyr Cove Branch at 233 Warrior Way, Zephyr Cove.

The Minden Library is located at 1625 Library Lane. Connect with the Douglas County Public Library on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Youtube, library.douglascountynv.gov, or call 775-782-9841.
