Deborrah and Wayne Walters won a television in the ‘Newlywed Game’ in 1973.
Wayne and Deborrah Walters celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday.
The couple built their home in Minden in 2004. Wayne retired from UPS after 30 years of service.
Deborrah went to work as a manicurist after raising the couple’s son and daughter.
“We are blessed in our marriage from our faith in God, from who all blessings flow,” Wayne said.
The couple appeared on the Newlywed Game in June 1973.
“We won a 27-inch Motorola television that was the grand prize,” Wayne said.
