Forty-six seniors and 28 juniors will demonstrate their skill, speed and ability against each other in the 24th Powder Puff Football Game at Douglas High School on Friday.

The flag football game between junior and senior girls is part of the high school’s end of the year bash, Mountain Madness festival.

“It’s a really big end of the year event, that students look forward to,” said Block D Officer and senior Emerson Dufloth.

Dufloth played on the Powder Puff Junior team last year and is playing as a senior during Friday’s game.

“We lost to the seniors last year, so this year we’re hoping for a comeback,” she said.

Block D sponsors the event with participation from the whole school, including a carnival featuring booths from a variety of clubs, the Powder Puff Football Game, Tug of War & Milk Chug competitions, faculty races and the lip sync battle.

“It’s something to do with all your friends and something to remember,” said Dufloth.

Proceeds fund future Block D activities, including school improvement projects and the Block D Memorial Scholarship.
