 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 

REGARDING THE INCREASE IN WATER AND SEWER RATES 

RHGID is proposing to increase water and sewer rates and implement changes and amendments to its Water Service Tariff, Rule 24, and Sewer Service Tariff, Rule 23 including 

- Adjust water and sewer base rate commensurate with a percentage increase across ALL line sizes for residential AND commercial customers. 

- July 1, 2022, water rates will increase by 2.9% and sewer rates will increase by 30% 

- July 1, 2023, water rates will increase by 2.9% or CPI percentage and sewer rates will 

increase by 10% 

- July 1, 2024, water rates will increase by 2.9% or CPI percentage and sewer rates will increase by 8% 

- July 1, 2025, water rates will increase by 2.9% or CPI percentage and sewer rates will increase by 2.9% or CPI 

- July 1, 2026, water rates will increase by 2.9% or CPI percentage and sewer rates will 

increase by 2.9% or CPI

ALL OTHER CUSTOMER TYPES WILL HAVE PROPOSED RATES SCALED BASED ON THE PERCENT INCREASE 

Copies of the proposed changes are available at the District office at 343 Ute Way for pickup or review. 

The public hearing will be held: 

Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 4:30pm at the Tahoe Douglas Fire Station #23, 193 Elks Point Road, Zephyr Cove, NV
