Genoa, Nev. — As near as I can tell, today marks the first time a B-29 Superfortress has landed at Minden-Tahoe Airport has made the news. With only two left flying in the country, who knows when someone may get another chance. B-29 Doc will be available for tours noon to 4:30 p.m. today and Wednesday.


Douglas County Public Library trustees are scheduled to discuss an update on the process of bringing on a new library director. That includes setting a date for a welcome event and potentially extending HR Senior Analyst Christine Vido’s brief career as a library director to aid in bringing new director Tim DeGhelder onboard. Trustees meet 10 a.m. today at the Minden Branch, 1625 Library Lane.


A two-vehicle t-bone collision at Highway 395 and Riverview snarled traffic this morning. No one opted for an ambulance ride from the collision that occurred around 7:30 a.m.


There’s a chance we’ll see thunderstorms on Wednesday night as spring continues to heat up before dipping back into the 70s in time for the three-day weekend.


Expect sunny skies today with a high temperature of 85 degrees and the wind calm shifting north at around 5 mph in the afternoon. The forecast is calling for 90 degrees on Wednesday before the wind picks up.
