Driver arrested for felony DUI in wrong-way fatal collision

The driver of a pickup in the April 23 wrong way crash that killed Fallon Montanucci and injured her sister has been arrested for felony driving under the influence.

Matthew Joseph Premo, 26, of Carson City faces charges of DUI causing death and causing substantial bodily harm, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

He also faces misdemeanor charges of not driving on the correct side of the road, speeding 21 or more mph over the speed limit and not wearing a seatbelt, according to the Nevada State Police.

A celebration of life is 10 a.m. Friday at St. Gall for Montanucci. The airman first class was stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana, and will be buried with military honors at East Side Memorial Park.
