Carson Valley Medical Center Hospital Foundation announced its new Board of Trustees for 2022.
●     JOIN Inc. CEO Brandy Thomson is chairwoman
●     Business Council of Douglas County Executive Director Renea Louie is vice-chairwoman
●      Carson Valley Accounting's Drew Aguilar is secretary-treasurer
●      Douglas County Community Services Director Scott Morgan
●      Carson Valley Medical Center CEO Jeff Prater is an ex-official member
Thomson, chief operating officer for JOIN, Inc., joined the Foundation Board of Trustees last year and said she is honored to hold the role of board chair.
“I've always said I wanted to be involved in three different parts of our community,” she said. “Helping with children, our community in general, and healthcare because these are all important to the success of any community.”
Thomson said her priority for the Foundation board is to bring Carson Valley Medical Center to the forefront of the community.
“We have populations here that need to know we have world-class healthcare and Carson Valley Medical Center specializes in so many facets of medicine,” Thomson said. “We are a retirement community, but we also have young families here who can benefit from the wide variety of services offered. It’s not just the hospital at the end of the road in Gardnerville.”
Thomson said she envisions the Foundation offering more interaction with the community through educational and meet-and-greet events and is looking forward to more community members joining the board of trustees.
“We have a wonderful opportunity to reach further into our community,” she said. “I welcome anyone interested in joining the board to contact me and let’s talk about how to bring more awareness to the tremendous asset Carson Valley Medical Center is to our region.”
