Downtown Gardnerville was snarled by a pair of collisions within minutes of one another that resulted in at least one person being transported for medical treatment.

The first collision was at Highway 395 and Toler Lane at around 9:55 a.m.

Around 15 minutes later a rear-end collision occurred in front of Sharkey’s just around the S-Curve from the first.

One person was loaded into an East Fork ambulance for transport to Carson Valley Medical Center.

East Fork Fire first-responders and Douglas County deputies responded to the collisions, which will be investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol.

The collisions snarled traffic in the vicinity for an hour.
