Genoa, Nev. — On Sunday, it was announced that someone at Friday’s Create the Good Event in Woodfords tested positive for the coronavirus and had close contact with 15 other people. Alpine Health Officer Richard Johnson said they’re trying to contact those in attendance.


On Saturday, Mono County Health officials shut down in-person learning in the Mammoth Unified School District after 23 percent of the students and 19 percent of the staff are either sick or in quarantine.


In Douglas we’re averaging 15 confirmed daily cases over a 14-day period, with four hospitalizations and one in intensive care. There’s been one death attributed to the virus since the beginning of the year, bringing Douglas to 75.

Today expect mostly cloudy skies clearing with high temperature of 48 degrees and a light breeze out of the south calming. It’s going to warm up some this week.
