Section 00 11 13 – Advertisement for Bids

1. Sealed Bids for the construction of the

Town of Gardnerville Miscellaneous Concrete

Repair will be received by the Town of Gardnerville

Board at the Town Offices, 1407 Highway

395 N, Gardnerville, NV 89410 (Issuing

Office), until 3:00 local time on Friday, March

18, 2022, at which time the Bids received will

be publicly opened and read. The Project

consists of concrete work at four locations

within the Town of Gardnerville:

A) Removing existing asphalt concrete

valley gutters at two intersections within

Arbor Gardens and installing concrete valley

gutters.

B) Installing Town Furnished Signs at

two locations at the K-9 Korral Dog Park.

C) Removing dead trees and installing

new trees plus concrete sidewalk work at four

locations on US Highway 395.

D) Installing two concrete pads for future

installation of bike racks by Town Forces

at Heritage Park.

2. Bid Documents may be examined and

obtained electronically via Quest Construction

Data Network (www.questcdn.com) project

number 8127710.

3. A pre-bid conference will be held at 3:00

local time on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the

Gardnerville Public Works Building, 1369

Highway 395 N, Gardnerville, NV 89410 just

north of Raley’s. Attendance at the pre-bid

conference is highly encouraged but is not

mandatory. The primary purpose of the prebid

conference is for the contractors to examine

the Town furnished signs to be placed at

the K-9-Korral as part of the base bid.

4. The Engineers estimate for this work is

$48,000.

5. No proposal will be considered unless

accompanied by a bid security in the form of

a Bid Bond in an amount not less than five

percent (5%) of the bid.

7. The Town does not anticipate awarding a

contract which will exceed $100,000. Therefore

prevailing wage will not apply to this

contract and no public works project number

has been requested.

8. NRS 338.147 provides for a five percent

(5%) bidder preference on projects of over

$250,000 to bidders who establish that they

qualify for the preference.
