Genoa, Nev. — Saratoga Springs Neighborhood Watch issued an alert that someone along Hot Springs Road had a catalytic converter cut off their vehicle sometime the night of Nov. 16. Watch organizers are asking anyone with information to call 775-782-5126 and reference case No. 21SO31780.


I’ve heard three collisions on Highway 50 this morning as of 7:15 a.m. Deputies report some slick spots on the roads in the mountains. With fog and temperatures in the teens down in the Valley, be careful out there.


Main Street Gardnerville is hosting a business Christmas light contest. Business lights will be judged during the Parade of Lights on Dec. 4. The winner receives a 2022 complimentary sponsorship status of the Main Street Gardnerville. Register at Christmas light contest

It's going to be a short work week for most people, with a lot of folks shopping and traveling over the holiday. School’s out starting Wednesday. There’s still time to sign up for the Turkey Trot at thefoodcloset.org on Thursday.


It will be a nice week for whatever you might have planned with mostly sunny days and highs around 60 then cooling off a bit before warming right back up. Today expect the high to be around 61 degrees with a light breeze picking up out of the west at 5 mph.
