Good crowd for first Minden Concert in the Park

The sun broke through in time for the first Bently Nevada Family Summer Concert in Minden Park on Friday night.

Hot Buttered Rum took the stage in front of a bundled crowd at the park.

The Americana string band performed as scheduled despite blustery weather across the Valley.

At one point, Douglas County Community Services issued a statement reassuring residents that the show would go on.

But many concert goers heeded the advice to dress warmly and be prepared for the unpredictable Northern Nevada weather, including rain or snow.
