It has been a month since 20-year 911 Dispatcher Kristin Oilar received her diagnosis for pancreatic cancer.

Oilar’s friend and co-worker Melissa Johnson set up a gofundmeaccount to aid Oilar.

Oilar will require two to three months of chemotherapy to shrink a tumor, which lies near a main artery, after which, she’ll undergo a surgery to remove the tumor.

Friend and co-worker Melissa Johnson set up a gofundmeaccount to help defray the costs of treatment.

Additional fundraisers are expected in the spring for Oilar as she progresses through her course of treatment.
