Main Street seeking hanging basket sponsors

Sponsorships for Main Street Gardnerville’s hanging baskets that decorate downtown Gardnerville are available.

The baskets are grown by students in the Horticultural and FFA Programs at Douglas High and Smith Valley Schools as well as staff and students at China Spring Youth Camp.

“Without community support, this MSG Flower Committee program would fade away with the flowers at the end of each summer,” Director Matt Bruback said. “Weather permitting, the baskets will be hung in early June and stay up through mid-September.”

The proceeds from these donations are twofold: two-thirds of the funds support schools and their valuable programs and the remainder supports the Main Street Gardnerville Flower Program.
