The new location of the East Fork Gallery is open.

The new location of the East Fork Gallery is open.

The East Fork Gallery, in business since 1979, has recently moved across the street from its former location.

The new location, 1512 Main St., Suite 4, in the Old Towne Center is adding several new features to its offering. Besides featuring fine art, gifts, and cards, as it has for 42 years, is now fostering up-an-coming artists in several ways. The new location has a classroom and a designated area for displaying student consignment work.

The classes have already begun in the new gallery classroom and more are scheduled, for both children and adults. A printed schedule is available at the gallery and can be picked up during regular business hours. Some of the topics being taught are drawing, painting, scratch art, printmaking mosaic, stained glass, batik, and more. Classes will begin in July and will continue year-round.

The student consignment, opening in July will allow student artists to present and display work, learn how to price their work, create an inventory, write a biography and in all ways have a professional gallery experience. Application Forms will be available in July.

The “New” East Fork Gallery opened its door on June 1st and will have a grand reopening anniversary reception and celebration on July 25.
