Fallon erupted for 10 runs in the third inning and defeated visiting Dayton 14-4 Friday in a Northern 3A baseball game at the Edward Arciniega Athletic Complex.

The Greenwave led the Dust Devils 4-3 going into the bottom of the third inning.

With one out and the bases loaded, Brenden Larsen, who swung a hot bat in the game with five RBIs, singled in a run followed by pitcher Chase Irvin, who also drove in a run. With the bases still loaded, Hayden Strasdin ripped a line-drive single to right field, scoring a pair of runs. Fallon added two more runs on an error and wild pitch to lead 9-3.

Nate Galusha singled in a run, and catcher Edgar Alvarado ripped a two-run single. Brenden Larsen clears the bases with a double to center field. Sean McCormick led Fallon with three hits and an RBI in the second.

Dayton took a 2-0 lead in the first inning on a groundout and Robbie Harrison scored on a throw.

Fallon scored three runs in the first on a doubles from Galusha and Lee and on an error.

Fallon improves to 7-0 overall and in league.

Rain postponed Fallon’s doubleheader on Saturday. The two teams made up the game on Monday, and results will be posted online.

Irvin pitched four innings for Fallon, and Brenden Larsen pitched one.
