James Edward Wilson


June 23, 1931 - June 26, 2019

It is with much sadness to announce that “Jim” Wilson passed away on June 26, 2019. He was born June 23, 1931, in Phoenix AZ, to James Faye Wilson and Elizabeth Lovelady Wilson. They later moved to Fallon NV where Jim grew up and graduated (1947) from Churchill High School. He
then attended UNR and graduated (1954) with a Bachelors Degree in Business.

Jim entered the United States Army in 1954. He was a 1st Lieutenant Korean War Veteran and continued in the Reserves until 1982 and eventually retired as a Lieutenant Colonel of the US Army in 1991. Jim loved his country and was proud of his service and always deeply concerned for those still serving our country.

Another major part of Jim Wilson’s life was Real Estate. Licensed in 1965. Broker Owner of R & S Realty (1969-79). Later with Joanne, his first wife,
Jim opened Century 21 Jim Wilson Realty. Which still exists today. Jim was very involved in the local board, Sierra Nevada Association of Realtors. He was past President twice—a record! Also, Jim was awarded the prestigious Emeritus Award his professionalism of more than 40 years in real estate.

Jim loved to dance, and travel with his wife Carol. And he loved fishing and hunting with his sons.

Surviving are Jim’s 3 sons, Jim, Jr. and his wife Joanna, of Carson City, Steve and his wife Stephanie, of Minden, and Jesse and his wife Christine, from Gilroy AZ. Jim has 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Also surviving is his wife, Carol Marie Toohey-Wilson and her 2 children, Pam and Billy Toohey.
