Two inches of snow possible today


Snow totals of up to two inches with higher amounts in certain snow-prone areas is expected today, according to the National Weather Service. NWS in Reno has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 11 a.m. this morning until 7 p.m. tonight. "The heaviest show is most likely between 1 and 4 p.m. from Highway 50 northward, and between 4 and 7 p.m. south of Highway 50," NWS Reno said. The Weather Service said Tuesday that Reno has received 21.8 inches of snow this year, but the record was 65.7 inches of snow in 1916.
