Congress showing its hypocrisy

Congress is becoming more and more a land of double standards.

Currently there is a big brouhaha and lots of squabbling about the possibility, not a certainty, that a foreign nation (Russia) has tried to interfere in our latest presidential election.

We know for a certainty, per the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, that our State Department, under President Obama, paid about $350,000 in our taxpayers money to an Israeli group wanting to oust Prime Minister Netanyahu in the recent Israel election.

Why can we, as a nation, try to influence another nation’s election and than object when it is supposedly done to us?

Why is it the citizens of this nation are to have one set of standards for a health plan but our members of Congress are to have a different set?

Why is it a member of Congress can be excused for lying while a citizen can be imprisoned?

How can our elected officials expect us to hold them in esteem when they set such poor examples?
