Arthur Reynolds

Arthur Reynolds passed away peacefully in his sleep at his own home, May 11, 2017. He was 89 years old, and a 20 year resident of Carson City.

Arthur is a World War II era Veteran, serving honorably for 20 years, initially in the Army Air Corp, and later in the US Air Force. His many Military duties took him to Europe as a guard during the Nuremberg Trials, and as an airman

in the Berlin Airlift. While serving in the Azores, Arthur was trapped in the damaged hull of a transport ship, while the sea rose around him. As waves washed the ship from side to side, Arthur was alternatively submerged in the cold ocean waters, from his neck to his waist, for over twelve hours. He always identified his service in the Military as a quietly respected honor. Arthur was a true Patriot.

Arthur was preceded in death by his true love, Cora Arlene Reynolds, who passed away in 2015. They were devoted to one another, and Arthur honored her beloved memory with red roses on her grave site every Saturday without fail.

The funeral service for Arthur will be held Wednesday, May 17th. Viewing from 9am - 11am, the service at 11am at the Walton’s Chapel of the Valley on 1281 North Roop St., Carson City, NV

Arthur will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City, next to his dear wife, Cora.
