‘Art on the Greens’ art show returning to Reno’s Artown festival

Artown’s 3rd annual ArrowCreek Art Guild “Art on the Greens,” held at The Club at ArrowCreek, 2905 ArrowCreek Parkway in Reno, is returning from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 9.

The ArrowCreek Art Guild was formed in 2014 with three members that all lived in ArrowCreek and loved art.

The artists got together and decided to partner with Artown and create their own show, featuring artists of ArrowCreek.

The artists decided to do this each year continually adding artists into the guild. This year’s event offers work by 35 artists showing various mediums of art from mosaics, painting, photography, pottery, bronzes, paper sculptures, jewelry, fabrics and more.

Activities will include “putt for fun” with artistically painted golf balls, music by CeCe Gable and John Shipley from noon to 2 p.m.; Corky Bennett from 2 to 4 p.m. and Clark Kent from 4 to 6 p.m.

There will be a 50/50 raffle with proceeds donated to Artown, and The Club at ArrowCreek will be providing happy hour prices on select food and beverages.

The ArrowCreek Art Guild has grown to over 29 members including a large array of art mediums. The guild is the only Artown event that gives back to the festival.

Art on the Greens is the only event outside of downtown Reno.
