Oliver reportedly signs agent

RENO – With the official NBA Combine list announced Friday, Nevada’s Cameron Oliver is headed to the pre-draft showcase and apparently heading to the NBA.

The Reno Gazette Journal has reported Oliver has signed with agent, meaning he’s now locked into entering the NBA draft and is no longer eligible to return to play for the University of Nevada

Oliver, who has wowed fans in Lawlor for the last two years, will get the chance to show his skills in front of teams before the NBA draft on June 22. He’s one of just 67 players to be invited to the combine. Oliver announced in a video to fans at the end of March he would be pursuing the draft following the Wolf Pack’s NCAA appearance.

“Our whole program wishes Cameron the best of luck next week at the combine,” said Nevada head coach Eric Musselman. “It’s a great honor to be selected to participate. Every NBA team will be represented and it is the most highly scouted evaluation for the 2017 NBA draft. Our staff, players and all of Wolf Pack nation will be following closely.”

Oliver is just the ninth player in program history to score more than 1,000 career points in his first two years with the program. He currently has 1,071, putting him 23rd in Wolf Pack history.
