Margaret Theresa Facha

Margaret Theresa Facha, long time Fallon resident, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday, March 19, 2017.

Margaret was born September 9, 1929 in New Orleans to Joseph and Helen Salazar. Margaret met her husband Alfred Facha at a dance. He was in the US Army, stationed in New Orleans. It was love at first sight, they were married in 1953 and he moved her back to Fallon. He was a farmer and Margaret quickly settled in, growing beautiful, large vegetable gardens, raising feeder calves and starting a family.

She was a member of St Patrick’s Catholic Church, the Past President of the Portuguese Festa, something she was involved with for many years.

Preceded in death by her parents and husband Alfred Facha.

Margaret is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Dan Shaw; son, Joe Facha; grandson, Daniel Shaw, all of Fallon; grandson and wife, Glenn and Chelsea Shaw of San Diego; brother, Clark Salazar; sisters-in-law; Mary Daniels and Alice Coate; many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Margaret’s life will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM at The Gardens Chapel.

Interment to follow at Churchill County Cemetery.
