Keith Thompson has been called to be the new pastor at Carson City’s First Baptist Church, 1750 Mountain St. Thompson will deliver his first sermon as the church’s new pastor this Sunday. Morning service at the church begins at 10:45 a.m.
Thompson comes from South Carolina and recently returned with his wife, Michelle, from India where they were missionaries for three years with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.
Thompson earned a bachelor’s in Religion from Charleston Southern University and two master’s degrees from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, on in Educational Leadership and the other in Missiology.
The Thompsons have two young sons, Richard and David.
