Vilma passed away December 17, 2017 at Carson Tahoe Hospital in Carson City. She was 86 years old.
Vilma was born in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA to Sylvia and Peter Jensen on February 2, 1931.
Vilma and Dale moved to Carson City from Mission Viejo, CA in 1970. Here she worked for Lucky’s Supermarket and then Marilyn Lewis State Farm Insurance for many years.
Her greatest love was spending time at her home on McGee Creek near Crowly Lake, CA, fishing, hiking, bike riding, painting and being there with all her friends. She was a member of the Nevada Artist Association & Gallery, and enjoyed her oil painting in her studio at home.
Vilma is survived by husband of 51 years, Dale Weneck. She had five children, son Arthur, daughter Wendy with deceased daughters, Karen, Bonnie and Melissa. Additionally, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren all livein in Minnesota. Granddaughter Brittany Witter lives her locally.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, when all the family is available to make the trip to Carson City.
