Alumni Notebook: How Carson City area athletes are doing in college

FOOTBALL

Blake Plattsmier (Carson, Stetson): Went 3-for-6 passing for 32 yards in a 49-0 loss to Mercer. Overall, 4-for-9 for 50 yards with two interceptions.

Justin Barlow (Carson-Fayeteville State): Registered 4 tackles in 16-14 loss to UNC-Pembroke. Has 6 tackles on the season.

Will Flores (Carson-Missouri Southern): Played in a reserve role in 40-14 loss to Northwest Missouri.

Jon Parker (Carson-Abilene Christian): Started at tight end, and had one catch for 9 yards in a 38-35 upset win over Troy.

Logan Krupp (Carson-Western Oregon): Did not play in win over Simon Fraser.

Josh Joyner (Dayton-Western Oregon): Played but had no stats in win over Simon Fraser.

Andrew Gutierrez (Carson-Santa Rosa JC): Redshirting this year.

Garrett Schafer (Carson-Yuba College): Did not see action last week.

Joey Thurman (Carson-Yuba College): Did not see action last week.

SOCCER

Michelle Sandage (Carson-William Jessup): Team is 5-1. Has played in four matches and has one assist.

Kenzie Tillitt (Carson, Colorado): Team is 5-2. Tillitt didn’t play last week.

Erika Garcia (Dayton-Harvard): Lost 2-0 and 1-0 last week. Garcia has two starts and has attempted one shot.

Brenda Torres (Carson-Peninsula College): Team is 6-0 and Torres has no stats.

Josilyn Daggs (Carson-University of Idaho): Team is 0-7. Played 48 minutes against Saint Mary’s and 27 minutes against Washington State. Has seven shots on goal.

Becky Grabow (Sierra Lutheran-UOP): Ran 23:04 at WCC Preview Meet which placed her 50th.

Nathaneal Williams (Sierra Lutheran-Colorado Mines): At Colorado Invitational this weekend.

Richard Shroy (Carson-Washington State): No information available.

VOLLEYBALL

Nikki Keller (Carson-Southern Oregon): Team is 9-2. Keller had 12 kills and 9 blocks in win over Oregon Institute of Technology. Has 66 kills, 6 digs and 40 blocks this year.

McKenzie Price (Carson-Eastern Florida State): Team won three of five matches last week. She had 15 kills, 181 assists and 9 digs last week.

Kamryn Forrest (Carson-Colby Community College): Team split last week to go to 5-5. Forrest has 48 kills, 16 digs and 25 blocks on the year.

Jeanette Van Sickle (Carson-Holy Names University): Holy Names is 0-6. Van Sickle had 3 kills, 5 blocks and 5 digs last week.

Madison Foley (Dayton-Nevada): Had career-high 11 kills in a match against Cal last week. For season has 42 kills, 7 assists and 63 digs.
