The Carson Blue Jays continued their strong play with an easy 7-0 win over the Galena Cubs Wednesday night at Ron McNutt Field.
Bryce Moyle worked the first 4.1 innings, striking out four and allowing a single to Tommy Lichty to start the fifth. Derek Schafer and Kyle Glanzmann finished up for the Blue Jays.
Carson scored four in the first on a double by Jesse Lopez, a single by Landon Truesdale, a double by Moyle and singles by Trevor Edis and Jared Barnard. Carson added one in the second to make it 5-0, and Galena never recovered.
Carson finished with nine hits, one each by Moyle, Lopez, Truessdale, Edis, Morrison, Barnard, Schafer, Ben Nelson and Brandon Gagnon.
