Carson City area senior lunch menus for Dec. 12-16, 2016

Carson City Senior Citizens Center, 911 Beverly Dr.:

MONDAY: Potato soup, half of a sub sandwich, house salad and fresh apples.

TUESDAY: Chicken Alfredo, garlic bread sticks, peas and berries in a cloud.

WEDNESDAY: Beef patties on whole wheat buns, tomato, onion, lettuce, fat-free mayonnaise, low-sodium ketchup, baked beans and cantaloupe chunks.

THURSDAY: Chili relleno, Spanish rice, zucchini sticks, applesauce and churros.

FRIDAY: Baked meatloaf, mashed potatoes, steamed spinach, house salad, assorted dressing, whole wheat bread, apple butter and fruit cups.

Dayton Senior Center, 320 Old Dayton Valley Road:

MONDAY: Chicken with mushroom sauce, stuffing, mixed veggies, whole wheat rolls, margarine and ambrosia salad.

TUESDAY: Chicken noodle soup, French bread pizza, broccoli salad, rainbow sherbet, oatmeal date bars and pink lemonade.

WEDNESDAY: Sweet and sour pork, chow mein, stir fry vegetables with pineapple and fortune cookies.

THURSDAY BREAKFAST 9-10 a.m.: Breakfast burritos with scrambled eggs, cheese, hash browns, cantaloupe, sausage, cinnamon rolls, V8 and orange juice.

FRIDAY: Baked stuffed pork chops, baked yams, seasoned Lima beans and peas, garden salad, Italian dressing, fruit cocktail, cake and ice cream.

Douglas County Senior Center, 1329 Waterloo Lane:

MONDAY: Chicken cordon blue, cherry Brie tossed salad, pasta with asparagus, pear cups and chocolate eclairs.

TUESDAY: Turkey fajitas, Spanish rice, ranch style beans, chopped spinach and pineapple chunks.

WEDNESDAY: Pork loin, mashed potatoes and gravy, romaine lettuce, Swiss cheese and bacon salad, German vegetables, cake and ice cream.

THURSDAY: French dip with au jus, spinach mushroom salad, croutons, sweet potato waffle fries and blueberry pie.

FRIDAY: Roma burgers, romaine lettuce, whole kernel corn, baked beans and cantaloupe.

Silver Springs Senior Center, 1050 Pyramid Ave.:

MONDAY: Minestrone soup, cottage cheese, fruit and whole wheat crackers.

TUESDAY: Barbecue chicken, baked acorn squash, cucumbers in sour cream, biscuits, honey and ambrosia.

WEDNESDAY: Lasagna, garlic bread, cauliflower, apricots and sherbet.

THURSDAY BREAKFAST 9 a.m.: Egg and sausage bake, apricots and oatmeal.

FRIDAY BREAKFAST 9:30: Spanish omelet, oranges, English muffins and apricot jam.

Storey County Senior Citizens Center, corner of E and Mill streets in Virginia City:

MONDAY: Minestrone soup, grilled ham and cheese sandwiches and fruit.

TUESDAY: Honey lemon chicken, garlic pepper penne, brussels sprouts, salad, fruit and rolls.

WEDNESDAY: Biscuits and sausage gravy, home fries and fruit.

THURSDAY: Swiss steak, baked potatoes, vegetables, bread and apples.

FRIDAY BREAKFAST 10-11: Reuben sandwiches, steak fries and fruit.

Yerington Senior Center, 117 Tilson Way:

MONDAY: Italian beef bake, peas and carrots, spinach salad, ice cream, cake and cranberry apple juice.

TUESDAY: Kielbasa and potatoes with onions, salad and tapioca.

WEDNESDAY: Chicken cacciatore, linguine, baked acorn squash, mixed greens and peanut butter cookies.

THURSDAY: Tuna noodle casserole, herbed vegetable medley, sliced tomatoes, whole wheat bread and oatmeal date bars.

FRIDAY DINNER 3:30 p.m.: Baked ham, scalloped potatoes, salad and cheesecake.
