Alumni notebook: Carson City area athletes playing at next level

FOOTBALL

Blake Plattsmier (Carson, Stetson): Went 1-for-2 passing for 8 yards in a 42-13 win over Webber.

Colby Brown (Carson-College of Idaho): Did not see action in 32-31 loss to Pacific last weekend.

Dylan Sawyers (Carson-Feather River): Playing wide receiver. Caught a 25-yard TD pass against Diablo Valley last Saturday.

Nevin Elliott (Carson-College of San Mateo): Had two carries for 22 yards last weekend.

Logan Krupp (Carson-Western Oregon): Did not play against Humboldt State.

Josh Joyner (Dayton-Western Oregon): Did not play against Humboldt State.

Andrew Gutierrez (Carson-Feather River): Had one tackle against Diablo Valley.

Julio Meza (Dayton-George Fox): Did not see action last week vs. LaVerne.

Joey Thurman (Carson-Yuba College): Carried six times for 42 yards in 30-25 loss to Hartnell.

Jonathan Joyner (Dayton-George Fox): Did not see action last week vs, LaVerne.

Skyler Berntson (Dayton-Southwest Baptist): Did not see action last week vs. Grand Valley State.

SOCCER

Michelle Sandage (Carson-William Jessup): Team won twice last week. She had no shots attempted in either game.

Kenzie Tillitt (Carson, Colorado): Team is 4-1-1. Tillitt didn’t play last week.

Bailie Zuber (Carson-Peninsula College): In four games, Zuber doesn’t have a goal or assist.

Brenda Torres (Carson-Peninsula College): Torres has two goals and an assist in four games.

Josilyn Daggs (Carson-University of Idaho): Has started three of team’s first four games. Averaged more than 50 minutes in the last two games, but had no stats. CROSS COUNTRY

Becky Grabow (Sierra Lutheran-UOP): Finished 41st in 21:42.86 at Big Wave Invitational in Hawaii.

Nathaneal Williams (Sierra Lutheran-Colorado Mines): Didn’t run last week.

VOLLEYBALL

Cheyanne Strong (Dayton-Umpqua College): Next game is Sept. 10.

Madison Foley (Dayton-Nevada): Had 48 kills and 45 digs at tournament in Portland last week.
