A 22-year-old Sloughhouse, Calif., resident was killed in a head-on collision on Highway 395 south of Gardnerville.

Harvinder Singh was the driver of a Honda Pilot that was trying to pass a truck and trailer, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol’s initial investigation.

The Pilot struck a white Acura head-on, injuring both its occupants.

Two brothers, Daniel and Jeffery Lawlor, were transported to Renown Regional Medical Center as a result of the collision.

Daniel Lawlor remains in critical condition at Renown Regional Medical Center.

Trooper Dave Gibson confirmed that Jeffery was treated and released on Sunday night.

The trailer the truck was towing was destroyed in the collision.
