The Nevada Wolf Pack’s 28-23 Arizona Bowl victory over Colorado State means next to nothing. A loss also would have meant next to nothing. That’s the beauty of playing a meaningless bowl game. Nothing has changed with Pack football because of what happened in Tucson.

Edward M. Block passed away on Dec. 8, 2015 at 93. A lifelong Nevada Resident, Ed never lived more than 50 miles from where he was born except while serving in the Navy in WWII. Billy David Hill was born December 17, 1946 to Edna Clair (nee Pinkston) and Billy Hugh Hill. January 21, 1968 Staff Sergeant Hill was missing in action after the UH-1D helicopter, on which he was the door gunner, crashed and burned after intense hostile fire from the North Vietnamese Army. SSG Hill had just turned 21 and it was his second tour of duty in Vietnam.

Charles F. Fulton born on November 13, 1928 and passed on December 6, 2015 at the Veterans Hospital in Reno, NV. Survived by wife Mildred Fulton, and father of 6. He was in the Korean War and served proudly in the United States Army. One of the Flyers Club Members for years. Loved by all and we will miss him. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1PM at Smith Family Funeral Home, 505 Rio Vista Dr. Fallon- 423-2255 with viewing one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in the Fallon cemetery with military honors.

She is survived by her husband Cecil Walton, her sons Mike (Ree), Mitch (Beth) and Scott (Paula) Taylor; stepchildren Alice and Richard Walton; grandchildren Samantha Taylor, Michelle Berg (Rex), Grant and Margaret Taylor, Bryson and Maddie Taylor; great grandson Rhett Berg; sister Linda Bezdek. Preceded in death by husband Bill Taylor, grandchildren Lusiina and Kyle Taylor, brother John Perry and her parents. She will be missed. There will be no services per Iris’s wishes.
