University Women. The Capital branch of the American Association of University Women’s meeting to plan a tea was held in the office of Miss Mildred Bray. Miss Genevieve Pohlman was placed in charge of arrangements for the tea and Mrs. Edith Fritsch was named program chairman.

Solar house: Calvin Muhm of Carson City will be honored by U.S. Secretary of Energy Donald Paul Hodel and also receive the Governor’s Energy Award for Nevada for his new design for solar heating a house.

Sue Ballew is the daughter of Bill Dolan, who wrote this column for the Nevada Appeal from 1947 until his death in 2006.
