Trial set in child sex assault case

The couple accused of sexually assaulting a teenage in an attempt to get her pregnant pleaded innocent Tuesday.

In addition to the assault charge, Jessica Delgado-Bracamonte and Mario Quevado are accused of repeatedly drugging the then-15-year-old girl with methamphetamine to aid in the commission of a felony assault, child endangerment and conspiracy.

They were allegedly trying to artificially inseminate the girl with Quevado’s sperm.

If convicted on the assault charge alone, they could receive life in prison.

Trial in the case was set to begin Feb. 9.
