The driver of a vehicle was killed in a rollover accident blocking the eastbound lanes of Highway 50 Friday morning.
Trooper Dave Gibson confirmed the male died in the accident. A female passenger was injured. She was transported by CalStar ambulance helicopter to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno.
The single-vehicle accident was reported at 7:45 a.m. at 177 Highway 50. Traffic is being diverted into the opposite lanes.
The Nevada Highway Patrol, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Tahoe Douglas firefighters are on scene.
