(Séance continued.) “Mrs. Valentine who was killed in the railroad accident came very materialized and glorying in a heavy head of dark hair. She asked for a pair of scissors and gave a lock of her hair to my wife. Col. Baker directed the table to be placed in front of the cabinet again and a spirit began to materialize outside the table on the floor. The form is developed from a little spot or patch of vapory white on the carpet. It grows under one’s eyes and can be seen though quite distinctly and the materialization comes into full view.”

A Memorial Day program is planned by various local veterans in observance of the day, Tuesday, May 30. The parade will start in front of Heroes Memorial building and proceed to Lone Mountain cemetery where a memorial address will be held. Dale Pruett, first vice commander, American Legion, will direct the parade.
