Lupe Joseph Ruiz “Lou”

Lupe Joseph Ruiz, 81 of Dayton, NV was born December 12, 1932 in South San Francisco, CA. He graduated from South City High. He was in the Army during the Korean War 1953 - 1955 as a field observer. When he returned home he attended the College of San Mateo, CA. He was employed at Fuller Paints, South City, CA where he met his wife Millie of 50 years. Then as a Sales representative for Royal Crown Cola and Shasta Beverages, which led to the purchase of one of his accounts. Lou served as proprietor of Shoreview Liquors Inc. in San Mateo, CA for 17 years. After raising his family in the Hayward Highlands for many years, he retired in 1990, whereupon Lou and Millie moved to Citrus Hills, Hernando, FL. It was there that he enjoyed his passion of golf, bowling and car shows, himself owning many cars thru the years. Due to health problems they returned to the West coast to be closer to family and have lived in Dayton, NV for the past 15 years. He is survived by his wife, Mildred “Millie”, three sons, Michael (wife Deborah) Ruiz of Citrus Heights, CA, James Ruiz and Lori of Carson City, NV, and Phillip (wife Michele) Ruiz, of Reno, NV. His sister Frieda Moon of Marysville, CA, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceded by a brother, Jess Ruiz and a sister, Hope Saunders. Memorial services at a later date. The family expresses many thanks to the Lyon County Fire Department and Circle of Life Hospice. Arrangements were in the trusted care of Autumn Funerals & Cremations.
