Royce H. Erickson, 87, passed away July 6, 2014 in Carson City, NV. Royce was born on January 5, 1927 in Rhinelander, WI to Bennie and Inez Nystrom. Royce has been a resident of Carson City for thirty-five years. She worked as a secretary at the Welfare Division for over ten years. She also volunteered at Carson-Tahoe Hospital for twenty years. She is survived by one daughter, Vicki Thomas (Daren) and one son, John Erickson (Michelle) three grandchildren, Johnny Erickson, Christopher Thomas and Shelly Mooney. Eight great grandchildren, Derek and Kayla Wood, Dakota, Bridgett and Jagger Erickson and Blaze, Leif and River Thomas. Royce was a very special lady and an extraordinary Mom who will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.There will be a Memorial service for Royce at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Mountain St. in Carson City on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 5:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Royce to the Bethlehem Lutheran School Scholarship fund. Walton’s Funeral Home is in charge of final arrangement.
