Obituary Joel “Sparky” Anderson

Lifetime Northern Nevada resident and local business owner of “Sparky’s Stereo’s”, “Sparky”, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Jan. 14th. Sparky grew up in South Lake Tahoe, graduated from Whittell High School in 1966, and attended College in California. He lived in Carson City for the past 31 years where he touched the lives of countless friends and neighbors. Sparky, an accomplished organist and pianist, was well known for his intelligence, many talents, and colorful conversations. He attended Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church in Carson City for many years, and was loved by all of his brother’s and sister’s in Christ. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cathrine Anderson, and two step children, Paul Strybing and Kelli Williams. He is also survived by his sister Carole Terry, and cousin Karen Putt, all of Carson City. A private, family only memorial will be held Saturday.
