Shag Cooper

Long time Fallon resident James Edward Cooper (Shag) passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby L. Cooper, his father, Eddie B. Cooper and his mother, Madeline Cooper. He is survived by his daughter Pamela Simar (Jay), his daughter Bridgett Gray (Matthew), his grandchildren Logan, Ashton, Ruby Kara and Natalie Rose, his brother Johnny Cooper and many extended family members. The viewing will take place on Thursday, April 17, 2014, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Smith Family Funeral Home in Fallon, Nevada. Services will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 10:00am, at the Smith Family Funeral Home in Fallon, Nevada. Interment will follow at the Northern Nevada Veteran’s Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada. A potluck dinner to celebrate Shag’s colorful life will be held at the Eagles Hall in Fallon, Nevada immediately after the graveside service. Donations may be made to the Veteran’s Guest House in Reno, Nevada.
