Dayton improved to 8-0 in league and 24-1 overall with a three-game win over Fernley on Friday. Scores were 25-12, 25-15, 25-21.
Leading the Dust Devils was Ashley Vickers with four aces, seven kills and two digs. Madi Foley added 16 kills and nine digs.
Peach Coons had 20 assists and three digs. The Dust Devils host Reed at 1 p.m. today.
Virginia City sweeps Sage Ridge
Virginia City defeated Sage Ridge 2-0 and 2-0 in a varsity doubleheader on Friday night. Scores were 25-22, 25-14 and 25-10 and 25-10.
For the two matches, Niki D’Agostino had 24 kills, 12 aces and 10 digs alone in the first game. Nicole Huffman added 32 assists in the match. Shannon Parson added six kills in the first game.
Dayton is 7-0 in league and 14-2 overall.
In JV action, VC won in three games (19-25, 25-19 and 15-6).
