Obituary: Leora A. Johnsen

Leora A. Johnsen of Carson City passed away at home on Feb. 8, 2013. She was born in Grace, ID June 4, 1931 to the late John (Bill) Knowles and Alice Welch. She moved to Salmon, ID with her family where she attended schools. She married Wilbert A. Johnsen Sept. 15, 1947 in Elko, NV. She practiced nursing in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Arizona and California. In 1996 she retired from nursing & moved to Fallon, NV. She moved to the Dayton/Carson City area in 2006. She is preceded in death by her husband Wilbert of Helena, MT; six brothers & one sister. She is survived by her sister Delores of Salmon, ID; daughters Peggy & Norma of Carson City, NV, and Alice of S. Lake Tahoe, CA; son Chester of ID; adopted daughter Tanya of Carson City, NV; eleven grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren and twenty-three great great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday Feb. 20, 2013 at the LDS Church 1331 McKay Drive, Carson City, NV.
