Obituary: Dolores Annette Blake

Dolores "Dee" Blake died at Carson Tahoe Hospital where she was welcomed into her eternal home on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012. Dee was born to George and Annette Dreisback in Oakland, Calif. on March 15, 1925. She was married to Edward Blake on Aug. 12, 1945. He preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 2000. They lived in the bay area and raised their children in Castro Valley, Calif. Dee worked in accounting for several years in different locations and retired from Lucky Stores in San Leandro Calif. in the Accounts Payable Department after 18 years. Her husband Edward continued in his tax business under the name The Blake Tax Service for over 50 years. After that they retired to Carson City, Nev. in 1990.

Dee was active in several organizations in Carson City. She was a member of the Carson City Republican Women and the Red Hat Society. She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community and St. Teresa's Chapter of the Women's Guild. Dee loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them and traveling. She was a loving mother and a good friend who was always there to help them.

Dee is survived by her three children, Edward Jr and wife, Lenore of Milpitas Calif., Steven and his wife, Randi of Woodland, Calif., and Don of Plano Texas.; as well as, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Dec. 29, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Church in Milpitas, Calif. with a memorial service to occur at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Carson City at a date to be determined. Memorials may be given to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community. Cremation and arrangements have been entrusted to Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Carson City, Nev.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of final arrangements.
