Robert 'Bob' Thorn passed away on April 10, 2012, at the age of 67 in Carson City, Nevada, after a long battle with cancer. Bob was born to Earl and Elizabeth Thorn in Seattle, WA, in February 1945. Bob was a loving friend to all who knew him. He was a decorated Viet-Nam Veteran and an accomplished bowler.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carrie Thorn; sons Robert and Chris Thorn; Robert's wife Lisa; Chris's wife Cindy; his granddaughters Jennifer and Nicole Trygg, and Stephanie Thoms; great-grandchildren, Lukas and Dylen Fitzpatrick, and Adrianna and Donovan Thoms; several brothers, sisters and many nieces and nephews. Bob will be greatly missed and always loved.
Full military honors as presented by the American Legion will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at 1:00 pm at Northern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 14 Veteran's Way, Fernley, NV 89408. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's honor may be made to the American Legion of Fernley, Nevada.
